This is a course in homiletics and preaching. It has been designed for graduates of our diploma program who may or may not wish to go on to prepare for ordination, or for clergy who desire to strengthen their preaching from the ground up. It is available to everyone, not just those looking forward to the ordination, as there are a multitude of opportunities for preaching the Word. Special emphasis is given to introductory homiletics to lay the foundation for future success in public speaking, preaching and teaching, whether from a pulpit, in small groups, in public, in private, in media, or as opportunity presents itself.
This program provides more instruction and practice in preaching and the study of homiletics than any Orthodox theological program in this hemisphere. The second year is advanced preaching practicum held under an experienced homiletics instructor.
